Glasgow Gaffer and Lighting Hire
While I am best known for my work with camera in hand, lighting has always been my biggest passion and much of the reason I originally got into photography and cinematography. I have put the camera down for a number of local production companies over the last few years and very much enjoyed being a gaffer. I have included some examples of productions I have lit and supplied lighting for, and some where I have acted purely as a gaffer with externally hired lighting for larger jobs. The nature of the hire is indicated alongside each video.

Joell - "Mamacita" Live Session
Lighting supplied by myself, and I was gaffer for the shoot. Also supplied the flight cases which were used for set decoration.
VPS Security / Safer Scotland Corporate Shoot
Mix of lighting supplied by myself, the production company and hired in equipment. Lighting control was shared between myself operating the main desk and one of the production company techs
(who operated additional lights not connected to the desk via apps).
Only You - "Ultraviolet" Music Video
Lighting supplied by myself, and I was gaffer for the shoot. Projection was provided by the production and lighting matched to the required colours.
Walt Disco - "Weightless" Music Video
Lighting and haze machines were supplied by myself and I was gaffer for the shoot. Quite a number of setups for a striking end result!
Lucia & The Best Boys - "When You Dress Up" Music Video
I was the gaffer on one shooting day of this (the wide shots with the alien world style). Almost all lighting was externally sourced. A few smaller items were provided by myself. I unfortunately was not available
for the later shooting day.
King James I
An amazing promo shoot aimed at getting funding for a feature film based around the story of King James I. I was both Director of Photography on this and handled all lighting work, as the budget was small for the promo.
